Hurricane Sandy has finally left New York and it's so sad to see the city this way ... I hope everything goes back to normal really soon. It was my first hurricane ever and I was very scared, thank God it's over. Since we couldn't go anywhere we watched movies and played some games, believe it or not it was a fun night! I hope you are all safe, God bless you. BTW I took these pictures last week in California.

Finalmente el huracán Sandy ya paso por Nueva York pero lamentablemente dejo cientos de destrozos en la gran manzana. Es tan triste ver la ciudad en el estado en que esta ... ojalá todo vuelva a la normalidad pronto. Este fue mi primer huracán y la verdad es que estuve bastante asustada. Espero que esten bien y que Dios los bendiga. Estas fotos las tome en California la semana pasada

Ultimamente me he estado poniendo polos/camisetas mucho. Y es que creo que los polos son una pieza ideal que no te debe faltar, ya que puedes crear looks muy casuales o otros mas fashion. A propósito, les cuento que todos los Lunes escribo una columna de moda en la revista Cosmo for Latinas, así que no se olviden de verla aqui. Espero que tengan una linda semana :-)

A few weeks ago I joined a movement called "Bloggers do it Better" where Kristina from Pretty Shiny Sparkly challenges others bloggers to wear specific trends. Well, the other day I was thinking, why don't I do a challenge with one of my favorite bloggers and friend, Dany from Nany's Klozet and Fab Chic and Fit. I figured it would be fun to challenge each other to create different looks using the same pieces.
So, Dany and I have decided to do a challenge every Monday!! Soooooo exciting right? The best part is that, in this weekly special, we challenge our readers and bloggers around the globe to wear specific trends- and we would love if you could join us. Every Tuesday we'll publish next week's challenge, on Mondays: we'll show you how we wear the trend and you'll be able to share your link&outfit (see the form at the end of the post). Today's assignment was " I challenge you to ....wear a "maxi skirt". I hope you like it.

Hace unas semanas me hice miembro de una comunidad de blogueras "Bloggers do it Better", donde teníamos que completar retos de moda cada semanas. La verdad es que los retos me gustaron bastante por lo que me quede con las ganas de hacerlo mas seguido. Por eso el otro dia estaba pensando por que no hago un reto con otra bloguera, es decir solo ella y yo. Automaticamente pense en Dany, de Nany's Klozet y Fab Chic and Fit....me imagino que muchas de uds. ya la conocen! Asi que me puse en contacto con ella y le encanto la idea.
Uds. se preguntaran como funciona esto. Les cuento que es muy sencillo, Dany y yo escogeremos un tema y de alli cada una lo interpreta a su manera. En esta sección semanal, retamos a todas las bloggers y lectoras a usar ciertas tendencias- y nos encantaría que nos acompañaran. Cada martes publicaremos el reto, y el lunes de la siguiente semana, compartiremos como lo usamos nosotras y pondremos un espacio para que ustedes dejen el link de sus artículos. (si quieres subir tu foto, llena el formulario al final del post). Hoy empezamos con "Te reto a ....ponerte una falda larga. Espero que les guste la idea.
